Account Activation Notice
Once your Three Spires Web Hosting account is set up you will receive an account activation notice by email, if you have not received yours yet, please contact us before continuing. Your account activation notice contains the username and password that you will need to use our services.

Web Site Files & Transfers
You upload your web site files by connecting to the FTP server shown in your account activation notice. Using an FTP client, login with your main username and password. The 'home page' of your website should be named 'index.htm or index.html' An excellent FTP client can be found here

What is FTP and how is it used with my web hosting account?

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. To upload your web site files to the server you will need to use an FTP program.

Where Can I Get FTP software?
There are hundreds of FTP programs available for download.An excellent FTP client can be found here

What parameters should I use to access my account with FTP?
You will be asked for a Hostname, Username and Password.

Hostname - ftp.threespires.co.uk

Username - Enter the username given in your Account Activation Notice.

Password - Enter the password given in your Account Activation Notice.

Where on the server do I upload my website files to?
When you login to your web hosting account using FTP, the FTP software should automatically direct you to the folder where you should upload your web site files to.
